The City of Sheffield Tartan

When playing the band are very proud to wear 'The City of Sheffield Tartan', which was specially designed in 2003 and presented to the city at a ceremony in the Winter Gardens Sheffield. The tartan signifies Sheffield’s local heritage by the use of the following colours: -
Black - For the Mining of Coal
Grey - For the making of Steel
Red - For the Furnaces involved with Steel making
Blue & Green - The City Colours of Sheffield
